FLORIDA — A 45-year-old man from Snellville, Georgia, was killed in a crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 10, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. when an SUV traveling east on I-10 crossed the center median for unknown reasons and became disabled in the outside westbound lane.
A westbound semi-truck was unable to avoid hitting the SUV, investigators said.
The driver of the SUV died from his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
