
FLORIDA — A 28-year-old man from Tampa has died following a crash on State Road 400, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. on April 6 near milepost 1.
Investigators said the man was driving a Dodge Durango westbound on SR-400 when he lost control of the vehicle. According to FHP, the vehicle “entered the median, overturned several times, and the unrestrained driver was ejected.”
The driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Officials said a passenger, identified as a 26-year-old Tampa woman who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
