FLORIDA — A 17-year-old driver was killed early Sunday morning in a crash on Landstar Boulevard near Island Cove Drive, according to authorities.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 3 a.m. when a Hyundai Santa Fe driven by the teen struck the back of a Honda CR-V. After the impact, the Hyundai swerved off the road and hit a tree.
The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. The driver of the Honda was not injured and remained at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
