ARKANSAS — A 26-year-old man from Searcy has died following a single-vehicle crash earlier this month in Cleburne County, according to authorities.
The Arkansas State Police said the crash occurred around 10:37 a.m. on April 4 along State Highway 124 in a rural area of the county.
Investigators reported that Dylan McElroy was traveling northbound in a 1996 Dodge when he lost control on a curve, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.
McElroy and his passenger, 26-year-old Levi Scott of Heber Springs, were both injured and transported to Baptist Health Medical Center.
Authorities said McElroy later died from his injuries at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
According to investigators, it was raining at the time of the crash and road conditions were wet.
The crash remains under investigation.
