ALABAMA — A 24-year-old woman from Madison was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Zamaria Whetstone was driving a Hyundai Sonata on Alabama 148 around 2:45 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The crash occurred approximately five miles from Sylacauga.
Whetstone was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated by troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division.
