One person dead following vehicle crash in Alabama

ALABAMA — A man died Tuesday afternoon in a crash on DeKalb County 116, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The accident occurred just before 5 p.m. on August 5. Troopers identified the victim as 59-year-old Aubrey D. Jones, who was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle collided with another.

The driver of the other vehicle was injured and airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga for treatment.

ALEA continues to investigate the crash.
