ALABAMA — A 75-year-old Seale woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle left the roadway and overturned in Russell County, authorities said.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Linda H. Bloszies was driving a 2015 Honda CR-Z around 4:15 p.m. when the vehicle left Lato Road near Harvest Drive, struck a culvert, and overturned.
Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said Bloszies was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:50 p.m. from blunt force trauma injuries. No autopsy will be performed, but blood toxicology testing has been conducted, Sumbry added.
The crash occurred about 13 miles south of Phenix City. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division and the Russell County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate.
