OHIO — A Spencerville woman was killed in a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) crash in rural Allen County on Sunday morning.
The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that 28-year-old Rachel Berelsman died in the single-vehicle accident, which happened shortly before 11 a.m. on Defiance Trail near Bloomlock Road.
According to investigators, Berelsman was driving north when her UTV veered left of center, went off the road, and struck a utility pole. She was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation.
