
INDIANA — A teenager died Thursday after his off-road vehicle collided with a Jeep on State Road 120, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. when the UTV attempted to cross the road at a 90-degree angle. The Jeep driver, a man from Michigan, told police he could not avoid hitting the vehicle.
A 13-year-old boy driving the UTV was pronounced dead at the scene. A 6-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle and flown to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition with internal injuries. The Jeep driver was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
