One person dead following two-vehicle crash in Wisconsin

WISCONSIN — An 18-year-old woman from Marinette was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on State Highway 180, according to Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller.

The crash occurred just south of Nettleton Road near the town of Porterfield.

An initial investigation revealed that Jacob S. Lebick, 39, of Marinette, was driving south on Highway 180 when he failed to navigate a curve.

His vehicle crossed the center line into the northbound lane, where it collided with a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Alise C. LaPierre.

LaPierre sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, Miller said.

The Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting in the ongoing investigation.

Emergency crews from the Wisconsin State Patrol, Grover-Porterfield Fire Department, and Aurora Medical Center — Bay Area EMS also responded to the scene.
