OHIO — One person is dead and another critically injured following a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Columbus’ southeast side.
According to Columbus police, the crash occurred around 2 a.m. at the intersection of South Hamilton Road and Eastland Two.
A Toyota traveling northbound on South Hamilton Road collided with a Ford heading west on Eastland Two.
A passenger in the Toyota was killed in the crash. Police say the driver of the Toyota fled the scene on foot.
The driver of the Ford was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Columbus Division of Police or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
