OHIO — Akron police are investigating the killing of a 44-year-old woman found dead early Saturday morning.
According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, first responders were called around 2:10 a.m. to the area of Miles Avenue for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Rebecca Lee Guthrie lying on the living room floor.
Officials said Guthrie had been stabbed multiple times and shot.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Akron police.
