One person dead following small plane crash in Ohio

OHIO — A small plane crash in Adams County on Monday afternoon has claimed the life of one person, authorities confirmed.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Georgetown post, emergency responders were dispatched to Savage Road in Bratton Township at 3:34 p.m. following reports of a plane crash.

The location is situated north of Peebles and west of State Route 73.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday evening that the victim was 46-year-old Harris Coles.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.

Officials have not released additional details at this time.
