INDIANA — Authorities in Clinton County are investigating a fatal single-car crash that occurred early Sunday morning.
According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported around 3 a.m. on Jan. 19 near 200 West Main Street in Rossville, approximately 15 minutes east of downtown Lafayette.
A preliminary investigation found that a vehicle veered off the south side of State Road 26/Main Street for unknown reasons before striking a utility pole and a tree at high speed.
The car came to a stop in the middle of the roadway.
The driver, identified as 41-year-old Chad Munk of Henryville, Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
