VIRGINIA — A woman is dead following a shooting early Saturday morning in Chesterfield County, according to police.
Officers responded to the 4000 block of Belcourse Road at 2:53 a.m. on July 12 after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive woman with a gunshot wound.
She was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but died shortly after arrival, authorities said.
Police have not released the woman’s identity, pending notification of her family. Investigators say there is no threat to the public at this time.
