TEXAS — One person has died following a shooting at a park in Midland, according to authorities.
The Midland Police Department said officers were called around 9:48 p.m. Saturday to the 2100 block of East Cuthbert Avenue near Reyes-Mashburn Park.
Police said the victim, identified as Devon Nelson, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later died. Authorities said next of kin has been notified.
Officials reported that the suspect has not yet been fully identified.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
