TEXAS — One person was killed in a shooting on San Antonio’s East Side early Sunday morning, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The San Antonio Police Department said officers responded around 7 a.m. to a shooting in the 1600 block of Rigsby Avenue. When police arrived, they found one gunshot victim at the scene.
An SAPD sergeant confirmed there was a single victim. The person was later pronounced dead, authorities said.
Police have not released information about a suspect or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The San Antonio Fire Department also responded to the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details were not immediately available Sunday afternoon.
