TENNESSEE — One person is dead following a shooting early Friday morning in South Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department.
The incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Cannon Street, near East McLemore Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting and arrived to find a victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
The individual was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from their injuries. Police have not released the victim’s age or gender.
