TENNESSEE — A man has died following a Friday night shooting in South Nashville, authorities said.
Officers responded just before 8:30 p.m. to the Union On Thompson Apartments on Thompson Place after reports of gunfire but initially did not find any victims or witnesses.
During the investigation, Metro Nashville Police Department detectives learned that 25-year-old Ever Domingo Mazariegos had been shot in the front parking lot of Building F at the complex. He was transported to Nashville General Hospital in a personal vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Mazariegos was later transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The MNPD Homicide Unit is investigating.
