TENNESSEE — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday morning at a home in Scott County, according to officials.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said its agents are assisting in the investigation after deputies responded to a reported shooting at a residence off Stanley Creek Road in Oneida just before 11 a.m.
Officials said a man was found inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
No information about a suspect or what led to the shooting has been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
