OHIO — A 15-year-old boy is dead following a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the city of Wyoming, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
Police responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Burns and Washington avenues around 3:49 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the left shoulder. He was transported to UC Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
On Thursday morning, the Hamilton County Coroner identified the victim as Jaymir Deshea Hill, 15.
Authorities believe the incident was isolated, and multiple suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot.
The HCSO’s Criminal Investigation Section is leading the investigation.
