OHIO — A woman was fatally shot early Thursday morning in a domestic violence incident, according to the Vermilion Police Department.
The shooting occurred at 1:46 a.m. in the 500 block of Ferndale Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an armed man threatening a woman inside the home.
When police arrived, they witnessed 35-year-old Bryan Hall shoot the woman twice.
Hall then turned the weapon on himself but stopped short of pulling the trigger, police said.
Officers provided immediate first aid to the victim, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
Hall was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated murder. He was transported to the Lorain County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
