OHIO — A man is in custody following a deadly shooting outside a west Toledo bar early Saturday morning.
Toledo Police responded to reports of a shooting just after 2 a.m. outside The Polish Ostrich Bar on Phillips Avenue.
Officers arrived to find 37-year-old Robert Boone suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
Around 5 a.m., police arrested Amod Dawson Jr. at a residence in the 400 block of Southcrest Street in south Toledo.
Dawson has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 2 at 9 a.m.
