OHIO — One person has died following a shooting Tuesday afternoon on the city’s west side, according to Sgt. James Fuqua with the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers were dispatched around 3:20 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of South Richardson Avenue, located in the South Central Hilltop neighborhood.
Sgt. Fuqua said the victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Police said no information about a suspect or what led up to the shooting was immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.
