OHIO — A 31-year-old Bedford man died early Sunday morning after being shot in Cleveland’s Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood, according to authorities.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Raynell Clay. Officials said Clay was transported by a private vehicle to MetroHealth Medical Center from the area of West 54th Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Despite medical efforts, Clay was pronounced dead at the hospital as a result of his injuries, the medical examiner reported.
Cleveland police said homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. As of the latest update, no arrests have been made and no additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting have been released.
