OHIO — A person was shot and killed Sunday evening in east Columbus, according to a city public safety dispatcher.
Columbus police were called at about 4:35 p.m. to the 2900 block of East Moreland Drive, near East Livingston Avenue, for reports of a shooting. The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 5 p.m.
Police said one person has been detained in connection with the shooting.
No additional details, including the circumstances of the incident or the identity of the victim, were immediately released.
The shooting remains under investigation.
