OHIO — An 18-year-old man is dead following a shooting in a Dayton neighborhood Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Pinecrest Drive.
Officers responding to the scene found the victim with at least one gunshot wound, according to Dayton Police Lieutenant Jeffrey Thomas.
The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries but later died, Lieutenant Eric Sheldon confirmed Thursday morning.
Another 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is facing a charge of reckless homicide.
The case remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
