One person dead following shooting incident in Ohio

OHIO — One person is dead following a reported shooting early Thursday morning in northeast Columbus, according to police.

Officers responded to a call around 5:17 a.m. reporting an unconscious individual at a home in the 4800 block of Manitoba Road, just west of Cleveland Avenue.

Upon arrival, police discovered a person who had been shot in front of the residence. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities recovered a weapon at the location.

No information about a possible suspect has been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
