OHIO — A man is dead following a shooting late Tuesday night in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Mohawk Place. Officers say 35-year-old John Joshua Isome was found with gunshot wounds to the head and chest inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police initially reported that the victim was a 50-year-old man, but later confirmed Isome’s identity and age.
Investigators believe the victim was picked up by the suspect and shot while inside the vehicle where he was later discovered. A firearm was recovered from the scene, though police have not determined if it was used in the shooting.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
Detectives are reviewing footage from nearby city and business surveillance cameras as the investigation continues.
