One person dead following shooting incident in Ohio

OHIO — A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed early Monday morning in the Avondale neighborhood, according to Cincinnati police.

The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. on Hutchins Avenue near Reading Road.

Multiple shots were fired, though officers have not released information about what led to the incident.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Tyquan Jones-Alexander of Cincinnati. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said no suspects have been identified.

They also noted that another individual arrived at a hospital around the same time with a gunshot wound, but it is unclear if the two incidents are connected.

The investigation is ongoing.
