OHIO — One person is dead and another injured following a shooting early Thursday morning in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, according to Cincinnati police.
The shooting occurred around 12:35 a.m. on Walnut Street near Corwine Avenue.
Officers said one victim, identified as 30-year-old Brandon Lawrence, was transported to UC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A second victim, whose name has not been released, was privately taken to Christ Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, police closed several streets in the area, but all roads have since reopened.
Authorities have not released any suspect information at this time. The incident is being investigated as a homicide, and police are working to interview witnesses.
