NORTH CAROLINA — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday evening.
Deputies said the incident happened around 6 p.m. on Kreston Drive. When they arrived, they found 55-year-old William Jennings Bryan Clay III dead at the scene.
Authorities said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
No information about a suspect has been released as the investigation continues.
