One person dead following shooting incident in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — A 45-year-old Greensboro native was killed in a shooting early Monday morning, according to local police.

Officers responded to a report of gunfire around 1 a.m. in the 1600 block of Phillips Avenue near North O. Henry Boulevard. When they arrived, they found Kyle Means suffering from a gunshot wound.

Means was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

No suspect information has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
