LOUISIANA — A person was found dead early Wednesday morning following a reported shooting at an apartment complex in Lafayette, according to authorities.
The Lafayette Police Department said officers responded around 6:31 a.m. to the 3600 block of Kaliste Saloom Road after receiving a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a victim in the parking lot of the Grand Pointe Apartments who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim or any information about a suspect.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released as they become available.
