KENTUCKY — A man has died following an early-morning shooting Saturday in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Police said officers from LMPD’s First Division responded around 2:35 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of West Main Street. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers provided aid until emergency medical services arrived. The victim was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the case. Authorities said there are no known suspects at this time.
