KENTUCKY — A man was killed in a double shooting early Friday morning in the city’s Smoketown neighborhood, according to police.
Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department responded around 5:36 a.m. to a reported shooting in the 700 block of Caldwell Street, near the intersection of Logan and East Kentucky streets.
When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to University of Louisville Hospital. One of the men was later pronounced dead. The condition of the second victim has not been released.
Police said the department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. No suspects or possible motives have been identified.
