
KENTUCKY — A man was killed and another injured in two separate shootings that occurred minutes apart Saturday night in Louisville’s Parkland neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the first shooting was reported around 11:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Greenwood Avenue. Officers found a man inside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to UofL Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Just minutes later, police were called to another shooting in the 3000 block of Greenwood Avenue. Officers found a second man who had been shot; he died at the scene.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating both incidents and is working to determine whether the two victims were connected in any way.
