INDIANA — A woman was killed in a shooting on the city’s west side Saturday night, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot around 8:15 p.m. on May 3 near the intersection of Chadbourne Drive and West St. Clair Street, close to West 10th Street and North Girls School Road.
When they arrived, they found an adult female inside a car suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a male person of interest was detained within a block of the shooting after he was reportedly uncooperative and subdued with a taser.
IMPD Capt. Rob Rider said the incident began as a domestic disturbance.
