INDIANA — A man has died after a shooting on the city’s east side Tuesday afternoon, and police are searching for the suspect.
According to Evansville Police, officers and emergency crews were called to the area of Kimber Lane, near the intersection of Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt Road, following reports of gunfire.
Police said a man was found outside with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
Investigators believe multiple firearms may have been involved in the incident. The suspect or suspects had not been located as of the latest update.
Authorities are asking residents in the area to remain cautious. Officers are also requesting that anyone with surveillance or Ring camera footage contact police as the investigation continues.
Police said they are using drones and K-9 units to assist in the search for the suspect. The investigation remains ongoing.
