INDIANA — One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting early Saturday morning on the northwest side of the city, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers were called to the 5100 block of West 38th Street at 3:55 a.m. after reports of a person shot.
When they arrived, they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were initially reported to be in critical condition, but just before 6 a.m., IMPD confirmed that one of the victims died while being transported to the hospital. The second victim remains in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police have not released information about any suspects at this time.
