
INDIANA — A man has died after being shot early Monday morning on the north side of Indianapolis, according to police.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 4:04 a.m. to the 4300 block of Kingsley Drive, near the Indiana State Fairgrounds, on reports of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical crews transported him to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident. A person has been detained in connection with the case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
