INDIANA — A woman died Saturday morning after being shot on the south side of Indianapolis, according to police.
Officers responded around 6:45 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the 200 block of East Troy Avenue, just west of the intersection of Troy Avenue and Meridian Street. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was taken to a hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
