
INDIANA — A man died after being shot and arriving at a local hospital Saturday night, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say the shooting was reported just before 8 p.m. in the 3800 block of North Pennsylvania Street, an area near East 38th Street just east of Meridian Street and a few blocks west of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly after arrival. His identity has not yet been released.
Officers initially detained two people of interest at the scene.
However, after consulting with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, both individuals were released pending further investigation.
The case remains under active investigation. Authorities have not shared additional details.
