INDIANA — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred June 1 on Colerick Street, where an 86-year-old woman was found dead from gunshot wounds, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead. Her identity has not yet been released.
The Fort Wayne Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and is urging the public to assist.
Investigators are asking anyone with surveillance footage from the area or who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
