ILLINOIS — Police are investigating after a man died from suspected gunshot wounds following a crash late Friday night, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Officers responded at 10:47 p.m. to the 2400 block of S. 13th Street after receiving a report that a vehicle had struck a garage. When they arrived, officers found a man inside the vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
