GEORGIA — A man has died following a shooting Saturday night in southwest Atlanta, according to police.
Atlanta Police Department officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to a report of a person shot in the 1400 block of Desoto Avenue SW, located in the Capitol View neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
Homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police said the information released so far is preliminary, and the investigation remains ongoing.
