
GEORGIA — A man was found dead following an early morning shooting in Alamo on Saturday, according to authorities.
Wheeler County Sheriff Glenn Giles said deputies were dispatched around 3:00 a.m. to Railroad Avenue near Hole Spur Road after reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff Giles said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, along with the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office, is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. Authorities have not provided additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
