GEORGIA — A suspect is in custody following the fatal shooting of a woman Saturday afternoon in Columbus.
Columbus police responded to the 20th Avenue area near Cusseta Road, where they confirmed a woman had been shot and killed. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
This incident marks the second fatal shooting reported in Columbus on Saturday, following an earlier shooting on Reese Road.
The investigation is ongoing.
Authorities have not released additional details about the suspect or a possible motive.
