FLORIDA — One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting in Tarpon Springs on Sunday, according to police.
Officers with the Tarpon Springs Police Department responded around 4:05 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue.
Authorities said two males were transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle. One of the victims was pronounced dead, while the other remains in critical condition.
Police believe the incident is isolated and said there is no known threat to the public at this time.
Officers are asking residents to avoid the area as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Tarpon Springs Police Department.
The shooting remains under active investigation.
