FLORIDA — Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office are working at the scene of a fatal shooting Wednesday morning after a man’s body was discovered in a roadway.
According to the sheriff’s office, the body was found shortly before 6 a.m. near Lake Silver Road.
Authorities said the death is being investigated as a shooting. Deputies and investigators responded to the area and have closed the roadway nearby while they process the scene.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the immediate area as the investigation continues.
Officials said additional information will be released at the appropriate time. The investigation remains ongoing.
